Qu’est-ce qu’un
atelier d’écriture ?
Un atelier d’écriture se fait en groupe, chez moi un minimum de 6 personnes et un maximum de 12. Ces personnes se mettent autour d’une table et, sans surprise, écrivent. L’animateur (dans ce cas, moi) propose des petits jeux (ou pose des questions, donne une consigne) qui incitent à écrire, et ce pendant un temps défini. Une fois le temps passé, chacun lit à voix haute ce qu’il a écrit. Ce moment de lecture est un moment de bienveillance, on ne se moque pas l’un de l’autre !
What is a writing workshop?
A writing workshop takes place in a group, with me this means a minimum of 6 persons and a maximum of 12. These people sit around a table and, unsurprisingly, write. The facilitator (in this case, me) suggests little games (or asks questions, or gives instructions) that encourage the participants to write, for a set amount of time. When the time is up, everyone reads out loud what they have written. This moment of reading is a moment of goodwill, we don’t make fun of each other!
Mes ateliers d’écriture en français
Mes ateliers d’écriture sont conçus autour des mots-clés « rire » et « créativité ».
Je propose des ateliers d’écriture en français pour toute personne d’origine non-francophone qui vit en France. Il faut avoir un niveau minimum pour pouvoir écrire quelque chose en français (niveau A2 minimum). Mes ateliers d’écriture ne sont PAS des cours de langue, mais une opportunité d’utiliser vos connaissances, de commencer à vous exprimer plus facilement. Je peux signaler des petites erreurs qui reviennent, mais ce n’est pas le but.
Après l’écriture vient la lecture à voix haute. Ceci est un moment convivial, nous ne sommes pas là pour une compétition ! Mon but est qu’ensemble, nous écrivons et relisons en français et nous rions, beaucoup mais toujours gentiment !
Je ne suis pas d’origine francophone moi-même, je sais comment c’est de s’exprimer dans une autre langue que la sienne. Il n’y aura pas de pression, on ne se moque pas, on va s’amuser !
My French writing workshops
My writing workshops are designed around the keywords “laughter” and “creativity“.
I offer writing workshops in French for anyone from a non-French-speaking background living in France. You need to have a minimum level to be able to write something in French (minimum A2 level). My writing workshops are NOT language courses, but an opportunity to use your knowledge and start expressing yourself more easily. I can point out little mistakes that crop up, but that’s not the point of the workshop.
After writing comes reading aloud. We’re not here to compete! My aim is that, together, we write and reread in French, and we laugh, a lot but always gently!
I’m not from a French-speaking country myself, so I know what it’s like to express yourself in a language other than your own. There will be no pressure, we won’t make fun of each other, but we will have fun together!
Mes ateliers d’écriture en anglais
Mes ateliers d’écriture en anglais ont été conçus pour les Français (autres nationalités sont le bienvenu !) qui veulent ou ont besoin d’utiliser la langue anglaise. Je pense par exemple aux lycéens qui doivent passer le bac, autres étudiants, adultes qui ont besoin de communiquer avec des anglophones au travail mais aussi à tout ceux qui planifient un voyage à l’étranger. Bien sûr, si vous avez juste envie d’écrire en anglais, c’est une toute aussi bonne raison de venir ! Ces ateliers vous habituent à l’usage de la langue anglaise, dans un contexte sympathique.
Mes ateliers en anglais se déroulent comme ceux en français, mais donc en anglais. Pour en savoir un peu plus, vous pouvez lire le texte ci-dessus. Je ne suis pas d’origine anglophone non plus, donc il y aura toujours la même compréhension quant à l’expression dans une langue étrangère.
My English writing workshops
My English writing workshops are designed for French people (other nationalities are welcome!) who want or need to use the English language. I’m thinking, for example, of secondary school pupils who have to pass their baccalaureate, other students, adults who need to communicate with English speakers at work, and anyone planning a trip abroad. Of course, if you just feel like doing some writing in English, that is as good a reason to come as the other reasons! These workshops make you more familiar with the use of the English language, in a friendly setting.
My workshops in English are run in the same way as those in French, but in English. Obviously. To find out more, read the text above. I’m not from an English-speaking background either, so there will always be the same understanding when it comes to expressing yourself in a foreign language.
Qui suis-je?
Je suis Linda Groen, je suis d’origine néerlandaise. Je suis venue habiter en France en 2000 et j’habite à Figeac depuis 2008. J’ai écrit un roman en néerlandais, publié par une maison d’édition aux Pays-Bas, et également une trentaine de novelles, publiées par une autre maison d’édition, toujours en néerlandais et aux Pays-Bas. Je suis rédactrice, écrivaine et traductrice (néerlandais-français-anglais) indépendante. En 2023, j’ai suivi une formation « animer des ateliers d’écriture » chez Rémanence des Mots à Paris.
Who am I?
My name is Linda and I’m originally from the Netherlands. I moved to France in 2000 and have lived in Figeac since 2008. I’ve written a novel in Dutch, published by a publishing house in the Netherlands, and around thirty short stories, published by another publishing house, again in Dutch and in the Netherlands. I’m a freelance editor, writer and translator (Dutch-French-English). In 2023, I took a training course in ‘leading writing workshops’ at Rémanence des Mots in Paris.
